The Artists


Allyson has been face painting for over 20 years and is the owner and premier artist of Gossamer Designs. Allyson is one of the most sought-after face painters in the Lower Mainland.  Her talent for providing fun and creative designs is matched only by her enthusiasm!


Allyson has won numerous face and body painting contests and her work has been featured at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, in Maclean’s Magazine and online in The Huffington Post. She is insured through the Canadian Association of Face and Body Artists (CAFABA).




Jacquie is a professional animator, illustrator and cartoonist who has taught children’s art classes for over ten years. She is also working towards a Bachelor of Education degree at SFU.


Jacquie joined the Gossamer Designs team in 2011 and has brought smiles to hundreds of children with her face painting.  Her animation training means that she can draw and paint almost anything, especially animals!



Holly holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from UBC, with a focus on installation, photography and printmaking, and worked at Arts Umbrella for 3 years. She has has over a decade of experience working with kids in outdoor and arts education environments and is now completing a teaching degree.

Holly loves combining her passions of watercolour painting and working with kids in her role as a face painter with the Gossamer Designs team.




Theresa attended Emily Carr University of Art and Design, majoring in Visual Arts with a focus on ceramics. Her favourite aspects of being an artist are being able to create original images and improving her skills as she evolves.

Theresa loves children and has been around them her whole life, from helping children with special needs for 5 years during her high school years, babysitting from the age of 13, and spending tons of time with her 12 younger cousins!
