The Artists
Allyson has been face painting for over twenty years and is the owner and premier artist of Gossamer Designs. Allyson is one of the most sought-after face painters in the Lower Mainland. Her talent for providing fun and creative designs is matched only by her enthusiasm!
Allyson has won numerous face and body painting contests and her work has been featured at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games, in Maclean’s Magazine and online in The Huffington Post. Allyson is also a makeup artist and Fine Arts painter. Her work can be seen on Instagram at @allysongrantarts and @allysongrantfinearts.

Jacquie is a professional animator, illustrator and cartoonist who has taught children’s art classes and tutorials for over ten years. She has holds a Bachelor of Education degree from SFU and works with the Surrey School Board.
Jacquie joined the Gossamer Designs team in 2011 and has brought smiles to hundreds of children with her face painting. Her animation training means that she can draw and paint almost anything, especially animals!

Kaia
Kaia is a born and raised Vancouverite who has always had a passion for art. She graduated high school hoping to somehow utilize her art skills professionally and has since collaborated with tattoo artists to design tattoos and created the logo for Rising Health.
Kaia has tons of babysitting experience and has worked in the retail arena for seven years. She is thrilled to now be working as a face painter with Gossamer Designs and works on her art skills daily. Kaia loves tattoos, animals and self-expression!
Holly holds a Bachelors of Education, specializing in art, education and food studies and currently works for the VSB as a Teacher on Call. She also holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree from UBC, with a focus on installation, photography and printmaking.
Holly worked at Arts Umbrella for three years and has over a decade of experience working with kids in outdoor and arts education environments. She loves combining her passions of painting and working with kids in her role as a face painter!

Barbara
Barbara is an animator with a background in numerous artistic mediums including theatrical makeup, set painting, illustration, and watercolours. They have received a diploma in Classical Animation from Vancouver Film School and is excited to apply and grow in the artistic skills they have learned.
Barbara loves children and has many years of experience taking care of and entertaining kids. From helping their mom with a home daycare, volunteering to read to and supervise the younger classes in school, babysitting for friends and family, and helping out with their baby brother!

Born and raised in Vancouver, Jenn has always had a passion for art and design.
Jenn spends most of her time as a Creative Director at a local brand agency, although she really enjoys reconnecting with her first love - painting! Seeing the delight on kids faces is as rewarding as it gets.
