I'd like to book face painting for a company event - what forms of payment do you accept?
We currently accept cash, cheque and e-transfers as forms of payment.
We provide invoices to clients during the confirmation process and ask for a 50% deposit upon booking. The remainder amount is due at the event.
How long should I make the booking for?
We paint 10-15 faces per hour on average, depending on the designs selected. We have a 1.5 hour minimum booking, which is often enough time for small birthday parties. To avoid long lines at larger events, we recommend booking more than one artist.
Custom work for individuals is priced according to the request instead of on an hourly basis.
What kinds of paints do you use?
All of the Gossamer Designs artists use professional grade water-activated face paint. The paints are actually a makeup product, which are highly pigmented for excellent colour and coverage, but easily removable with soap and water or face wipes. We are also transitioning to biodegradable glitter!
Do you offer anything other than face painting?
We are lucky to have friends in the children's entertainment industry and we would be happy to help you book a balloon artist or magician for your event. Ask us if you would like a referral for another entertainer in addition to the face painting we provide.
What kinds of events do you get hired for?
Any event that you want to add some smiles to! We paint at a lot of birthday parties, community events, corporate family days, private clubs, city activities, one-on-one bookings for events like Hallowe'en, bar and bat mitzvahs, baptisms, sporting events... the list goes on. We even worked at a masquerade house party for a 40th birthday!
What should I have ready for the artist upon arrival?
Our artists come with all of the supplies we need to set up quickly and easily. We would love it if you can have a table and chairs set up for us upon arrival. If you need us to bring these items ourselves, please mention it in the booking request.
